Sharp Pickleball League Update, Strong Results Across All Teams ππ₯
Sharp Pickleball teams delivered another competitive round of league fixtures with strong performances across multiple divisions and age groups π The club continues to compete in the South East North Pickleball League, a regional competition where clubs enter selected players into team squads and compete for promotion, division ranking, and qualification opportunities for wider national competition.
Razor Sharp A Team battled through Round 4 of the SEnPL at Halton Tennis Club ποΈ, facing a mix of familiar and new opponents in challenging playing conditions π¬οΈ The team recorded one win, one loss, and one draw. These results secured their position in Division 3 heading into Round 5 in March π Angela K, Ruby K, and Luke M F delivered determined performances throughout the afternoon and showed strong resilience against technically skilled opposition πͺ
The Over 60s squad secured one of the standout results of the weekend β The team recorded an emphatic 30 to 2 home victory against BaD π The result highlights the strength and depth of Sharpβs senior players and sets a strong early tone for the new league campaign.
Sharp B Team faced one of their toughest Division 2 fixtures so far against SWAP A βοΈ The opposition fielded a younger and physically strong squad, creating a demanding match environment. Matt Holland delivered a standout individual performance and earned MVP honours π₯ after contributing 66 percent of the teamβs total points. The final result ended 26 to 6 in favour of SWAP A. Despite the result, the fixture provided valuable experience and highlighted clear areas for development as the season progresses π
Sharp C Team also faced SWAP B in a recent fixture π€ The team encountered a highly organised and accomplished opponent. While the result did not go in Sharpβs favour, players highlighted the positive sportsmanship and competitive spirit shown throughout the match π
Sharp teams continue to represent the club at Halton Tennis Club, one of the UKβs largest dedicated pickleball venues π featuring multiple indoor and outdoor courts which host league fixtures and regional competition events. The SEnPL league structure allows clubs to select squads of players to compete across divisions, with promotion and relegation determined by match results and overall points totals across each round.

Sharp Shooters and Razor Sharp will continue league competition at Halton.
