I recently completed the Pickleball Leaders course from Pickleball England. Whether you're looking to run your own beginner sessions, help at your local club, or simply want to build your confidence in leading others, this course is a brilliant first step.

The best part? It’s open to anyone. You don’t need to be a seasoned coach or a pro player. If you’ve got a passion for the sport and want to get more people playing, then you’re already halfway there.

What I loved most was how hands-on it was. You’re not just sitting around taking notes. The course covers how to introduce the sport to complete beginners in a clear and engaging way. You’ll learn how to plan and deliver safe and fun sessions, how to structure basic drills and games, and how to build confidence in new players. It also covers court safety, inclusive communication, and even how to manage small groups during play. Everything is designed to give you the tools you need to get others excited about pickleball.

And once you've done it, you're not done, in fact, you’re just getting started. The course opens the door to the Level 1 coaching qualification, which means even more opportunities to coach and develop players.

So if you’ve ever thought about giving back to the sport, building your own skills, or just want an excuse to spend even more time on court, go for it. I did it, and I honestly can't recommend it enough.
